Project Overview
We were approached by Pat the owner of Dorchester Timber, to give his long established business a brand overhaul. The business was set up in the late 80’s and was still using traditional ways of local radio and press adverts to reach new customers. Even though this had been very successful over the years, Pat wanted to move with the times and have more of an online presence, to reach a younger generation of customers that were needing their services.
We suggested a new brochure style website so customers could research products & answer their own questions at any time, of the day or night. We felt a social media presence would be a great way to stay connected to their customers, offer them the latest deals and give them a laugh along the way!

Where we started...
Logo Design
The original Dorchester Timber logo icon had aged really well. So we worked on a typeface and tag line to freshen the logo up for the next 33 years.
Website Design
Optimized Perfectly For All Devices
The main focus of the website was for the customers to be able to navigate the site and find what they wanted quickly and efficiently. The site needed to have a good mobile version for the trade & D.I.Y customers that needed to find out about a product whilst ‘on the job’.
We built a 23 page full responsive website, that included an on location product photoshoot. Once the site was complete, we worked on a SEO package to give Pat and the team some great google search results.

Reaching new customers using design
As part of the rebrand, we designed a new 56 page price book, promotional flyers, press adverts, merchandise, delivery truck graphics, signage, social media graphics and a new monthly email newsletter system to send offers and news direct to customer inboxes.
The Best Bit...
The Result
The new rebrand package we put in place for Pat & the team has seen the traffic to the website triple in numbers. More new customers are contacting them each day after finding the site and have commented on how easy the whole website experience was!
Our Favourite bit...
Customer Feedback
"Having dealt with Crossworks design since Iain started his business I didn't want to jump straight in and say our new website was working until we had seen the response.
Well the response has been fantastic with both our trade and retail customers saying how easy it is to navigate and the design and layout is striking and straight to the point.
From the initial consultation to the finished product Iain kept in contact and was very professional throughout.
Always a pleasure to deal with.
Many thanks Iain."
